Forget boring hotel rooms. Choose a movie suite according to your style – whether you crave steampunk fantasy, knight history or the mysterious atmosphere of The Witcher. The rooms are equipped with props from the films, costumes are available to try on right in the room and there is also a bathroom, Wi-Fi, a fridge and a kettle. And if you guess the origin of some of the props correctly, you will be treated to a shot of mead from the innkeeper.

Movie Armory – try on your hero's armor

A unique place where you can put on your Hollywood armor. Literally.

In the summer, you can visit the film armory – the only place of its kind in Europe. Over 3,000 pieces of weapons and armor from all eras and film worlds, which you can not only see but also try out. They were worn by Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt or characters from The Witcher. Photography and filming are not only allowed – they are even recommended.

Apartments with a story

Rest like Van Helsing or a knight in the glow of fantasy lanterns.

Each room has its own cinematic charm – from hospital beds from Hart's War to secret doors from A Knight's Tale. The steampunk apartment will delight all fantasy and sci-fi lovers, while the miller Karel Housa's apartment is a tribute to Tábor's history and offers space for up to 8 people. A new addition is the upcoming Jan Žižka apartment.

Movie pub and breakfast in bed

Taste mead like Geralt of Rivia or beer from a small brewery.

The movie pub changes its atmosphere according to the season - right now it will transport you to the world of The Witcher. Homemade mead, craft beers and a themed menu will delight not only connoisseurs. And if you get up early, breakfast will be delivered to the door of your apartment.

Housův mlýn is located just a 5-minute walk from the center of Tábor. The complex is located in the picturesque valley of the Tismenický stream. We offer a large guarded parking lot, bicycle and stroller storage, and spacious facilities for concerts, theaters, and sports clubs.

TIP for a trip! Historical train ride Tábor–Bechyně: Elinka

Experience a unique trip along the first electrified railway line in Austria-Hungary! The train nicknamed "Elinka" connects the towns of Tábor and Bechyně and offers not only a comfortable journey through the beautiful South Bohemian landscape, but also a return to times long gone by. During the ride, panoramic views of the Lužnice River valley, picturesque rural buildings, forests and a technical gem - the Bechyně Bridge known as the "Rainbow" await you.

This nostalgic experience will be enjoyed by both history and technology lovers and families with children. The ride lasts about 50 minutes and, combined with a visit to the romantic town of Bechyně, known for its spa and ceramics, makes an ideal day trip. In the summer, a historic train with an original electric locomotive from 1903 is also in operation - don't miss it!
